But seriously, I’m a poet and mother who writes in the spaces between living. I believe beauty is all around us. We have to look to find it, and when we do, it is imperative to share it with those we love.
I am raising my daughter to be a beacon of light and truth in the world. To that end, I practice a child-led philosophy that encourages my daughter to be her own person in all she does.
Observing childhood growth and its constant change compels me to write and capture the moments. Like an artist with a brush, I cannot help myself.
I wrote a book of poetry for my daughter and all who seek to nurture their inner child.
I’m looking for poetry that lets the light in.
Selected works from this submission period will be episodes around the winter solstice. In the ancient tradition, I’m seeking words that celebrate rebirth, renewal, and a return to the light.
Letters from the in-between—part poem, part photograph, part confession.
